Read more here about the composition, effects and why you, whether you are an athlete or not, should have this drink in your fridge.

Concap Hypotonic drank

To start, our hypotonic sports drink is available in two fruity flavors: grapefruit and elderberry-lemon. They provide a good supplement of your minerals: calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Calcium is good for building bones and teeth. Phosphorus works with calcium, but also supports muscle and nerve function. Magnesium is the most important mineral for the human body, supporting muscles, among other things. Chloride, along with potassium and sodium (salts), helps maintain your fluid balance, which is precisely the purpose of our hypotonic drink.

In addition, our hypotonic syrups also contain many different types of vitamin B.

  • We need vitamin B1 to convert carbohydrates into energy.
  • Vitamin B2 contributes to energy metabolism.
  • Vitamin B3 plays an important role in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, proteins, etc.
  • Vitamin B5 has cholesterol lowering properties.
  • Vitamin B6 helps the body use food as an energy source.
  • Vitamin B7 stimulates hair growth and is beneficial for the skin.
  • Vitamin B9 – better known as folic acid – is important for the production of DNA.
  • Vitamin B12 prevents nerve pain, among other things, and is essential for several functions and organs in our body.

These delicious drinks also contain electrolytes. This form of salt is important for both athletes and non-athletes. This is especially crucial in the summer, when it's hot and we sweat a lot.

Use athlete

To prepare your sports drink, fill the measuring cup attached to the bottle with 10 ml of concentrate and dilute it with 500 ml of water. For a 750 ml bottle, add 15 ml of concentrate.

Use the hypotonic drink during the following sports activities:

  • a gentle effort, for example a short warm-up ride or recovery run.
  • an indoor effort, such as dancing or strength training
  • Athletes with diabetes can use this sports drink because it's low in carbohydrates. In that case, half the dose is used.
  • athletes who want to lose weight

For more intensive efforts, it is better to choose a sports drink with more carbohydrates, such as our isotonic drink powder, or for indoor sports: the electrolytes with ORS drink powder.

Non-athlete use
