Slow down the aging process with multivitamins.

Several articles have recently been published—including in Het Nieuwsblad—claiming that multivitamins can slow down the aging process. But is this information accurate, and how should I interpret it?

Earlier this year, a study was published in *Nature Medicine* that examines this question in detail. We’d like to go over the key findings with you.

What does the research say?

The study shows that taking multivitamins over a two-year period can have a positive impact on health. For example, a protective effect against dementia was observed. In addition, the incidence of cardiovascular disease decreased by 27%. From this, we can conclude that multivitamins do indeed have a positive impact on health and can help slow down the aging process.

Of course, it remains a supplement that should not be considered a miracle cure, but it can certainly provide support.

Please note: not every multivitamin contains a high concentration of vitamins. With Concap and X-Nutri, you can be sure that we offer approved formulas with high doses to provide your body with the best possible support.

Are multivitamins suitable for everyone?

In general, all adults aged 18 and older can take multivitamins. As research shows, taking them can be particularly beneficial in later life to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

In addition, there are specific situations in which a treatment regimen may be particularly beneficial:

  • Athletes who train intensively: strenuous exercise can temporarily lower immunity
  • Seasonal changes: such as fall and spring, when our immune system is often under extra strain
  • Flu season: when many people are sick
  • In case of possible deficiencies: especially if you don’t have your blood levels checked regularly

Please note: Multivitamins can help address deficiencies, but they are not a guarantee. Regular check-ups with your doctor remain important.

What should you look for when choosing a multivitamin?

Not all multivitamins are the same. Some products contain only low doses and therefore provide less support.

Therefore, we recommend choosing:

  • approved formulas
  • clear compositions
  • sufficient doses tailored to daily needs

The multivitamins from Concap and X-Nutri are complete formulas that have been approved by the government. This is evident from the notification numbers assigned to these supplements.

We have the X-Nutri Multivitamine + Q10 capsules and the Concap liquid vitamins & minerals (vloeibaar, 500ml), which also tastes great.

How do you take multivitamins?

Multivitamins are often taken as a course of treatment. Here are some general guidelines:

Capsules

  • 1 capsule per day for maintenance
  • a temporary double dose in cases of increased need (for example, during periods of illness)
  • best taken with breakfast or lunch

Liquid form

  • 1 measuring cup per day as a maintenance dose
  • A temporary double dose in cases of increased need (e.g. during periods of illness)
  •  best taken with breakfast or lunch

In conclusion

Multivitamins can be a valuable addition to your daily routine, especially during busy or stressful periods. But don’t forget: they work best as part of a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet, regular exercise and plenty of sleep.
